Another quick rambling update

Wow, life sure does fly by when you are having fun! Since we moved over a month ago, we’ve been super busy with settling in, working, and Ryan starting his last semester of college! My belly continues to expand with this active baby boy growing and developing inside of me. I can hardly believe I’m already in the 3rd trimester – the home stretch baby! (No pun intended!)

I’m looking forward to our small group starting back up into its regular weekly routine of meeting. Summers are always rather sporadic for meeting in small group.

As I draw nearer to giving birth, I’ll be slowly dropping cleaning jobs and eventually my babysitting job, which will possibly give me more time to post more thoughtful posts. In the mean time, I’ll just keep this short and random. Thanks for your interest in our lives!

Please be praying for my energy level, relief from rib/abdominal pain, and discipline as I try to wisely steward my time for God’s glory. I’ve been rather lazy about devoting time to prayer and sustained personal time with God. Pray for Ryan also as he is maintaining a full load of work and school and potential ministry opportunities. Thanks!

All Moved In

Just a quick update:

We just finished moving to a new apartment and I’ve posted some photos about the move on Facebook. We are keeping busy with work and settling in before Ryan starts school in a few weeks! I’m also heading rapidly towards the 3rd trimester of my pregnancy, so keep praying for all that. In case you didn’t hear, we found out we are having a baby boy! We are really excited, and the doctor said everything is healthy and right on schedule. Don’t ask about names, because we are keeping that a secret until we get to meet him face-to-face.

Spontaneous Weekend Getaway

Ryan and I are really excited to head up to Wisconsin this weekend to visit his family. Ryan found out last minute that he had 4 days off work this holiday weekend, so we decided to take advantage of this rare occasion and finally visit his family. Last night we did all our packing for the 7 hour drive, because we plan to leave right after I am finished babysitting today at 4 pm. Unfortunately, our Hyundai with air conditioning urgently needed some oil pan repairs, so we will have to drive the trusty, AC-lacking Volvo this time. Praise the Lord for cool weather today for our long drive. The ride home may be a little less pleasant, so be praying for us as we drive both ways in potential heat.

As far as pregnancy is going, I’ve been feeling rather tired lately, partly due to our increased busyness with the whole move coming up. I’ve been babysitting a lot and cleaning steadily, which can really drain my energy. But praise the Lord that I can find rest in God alone (Psalm 62:1 – shared with me the other day by my mentor Karen)! I’ve been really encouraged by the sustaining love and grace of God these days as I find myself lacking in my usual tasking fervor. Keep praying for us on our trip and during the upcoming move (2 weeks from today we sign our new lease!).

Introduction

As I was searching for ways to announce and keep people posted about our pregnancy, I decided a basic blog would be the best way for people to keep up-to-date with the Fultz family comings and goings. I plan to post more photos than journal entries, but on occasion I hope to include my personal reflections on life and my journey into motherhood. Feel free to explore and enjoy the photo journal of our life!

Ultrasound and Moving

These next few weeks will be pretty busy and exciting! As we continue to look forward to the birth of our first child, there are many smaller landmarks in this pregnancy journey, including the first ultrasound. We will be getting this done July 15th, which is the day before we sign a new lease at a new apartment! Then we have 3 days to get all of our stuff out of our current apartment and into the new, bigger, and cheaper apartment (unbelievable, I know!). It is so wonderful how God provides ways for us to save money and at the same time blesses us with much-needed extra space as we anticipate the arrival of a third Fultz family member during Ryan’s final semester of college.

Please pray for us as we slowly pack up our stuff and get ready for the big move. Also pray for me as I have to be more careful with my body these days as I carry this precious child in my womb. I have a tendency to over-exert myself, which will be especially tempting as we do this move. Thanks for your prayers and love.
